ABOUT ME
I started fishing as a kid when I lived in California in the 90s where I would go to the local pond in Echo Park and fish for anything that would bite. My family and I then moved to Connecticut and I started learning the local waters of the Connecticut River, Farmington River and other local creeks.
After enlisting in the Army in 2000, the world changed with the events of 9/11. I found myself on the brink of deployment, and eventually, duty called, and I found myself in Iraq. I was mobilized a second time but was cut short due to an injury.

Between deployments and recovery, I searched for a hobby to soothe my restless mind. Then, my son's desire to go fishing reignited my passion for fishing. It was during this time that I discovered the therapeutic power of fly fishing, thanks in part to the Rivers of Recovery organization and what they do for Combat Veterans.
Fast forward many years, I decided I wanted to be a guide. I knew through teaching friends and others I would meet on the water that guiding was something I eventually wanted to pursue. Fly fishing isn't just a hobby for me; it's a lifeline, a passion, and a mission. Every veteran I've introduced to fly fishing has found solace and healing on the water, and that, to me, is the greatest reward of all.
